I want to kill grass, thats easy enough. But I'm wondering, what
chemical what make the ground totally dead, like nothing will grow
there for the next 6 months.

Deisel fuel and bleach should do the trick.

Cement in it's powdered form. Often times you'll see a patch of grass
next to a sidewalk where nothing will grow. What happened was that
when the sidewalk (or driveway, etc) was being laid the guys dumped out
the rest of their wheel borrow of cement mix. It soaked into the
ground and rendered the soil infertile. That patch of ground has to be
dug up and replaced with new soil. This isn't something I thought up,
I'm a regular viewer of This Old House on PBS. They said construction
workers do this kind of thing all the time.

Hi Mitch,

Good to see you here ;-)

Try creosote, it killed my grass straight away and took ages to grow
back.

Creosote?
Creosote is used on railroad ties to keep termites from
eating them, it also keeps plants from growing, it is poison.

Use 20% vinegar from a garden supply place, it will kill
any growing plant and if use in enough concentration
will keep anything from growing for a long time.
